I'm OBSESSED!

I am OBSESSED with the NOLA Rebels MC series from Mackenzy Fox! Seriously, I cannot get enough. This description says it all:

The men of the NOLA Rebels MC will do anything for their club, they’re a brotherhood, a club who stands mighty, and above all else, they take care of business, New Orleans style.

The bikers may rule this city, but the women of club have their hearts, and the men will do anything to protect what’s theirs.

That description hooked me immediately. It's giving Alpha, leader, protector, and I'm 100% here for it.

Hawk is the third book in the series, and released on October 28, 2023.

Our main characters are Hawk and Jas. Jas works as the club accountant, and is extremely good at her job. She's respected, cherished, and takes no shit. Of course Jas has also said she will not hook up with any of the club members. Yet here comes Hawk, and the attraction is strong. Even if he did break her heart when things happened with that other woman. Hawk is trying to make amends, and knows that they have a future. She is his end game. When tragedy strikes, Jas finds herself leaning on Hawk. He is her safe space, her protector, her shoulder to lean on. Hawk is by her side throughout it all.

What tropes are featured in this book? Good question! Here's what you'll find, well except for one because that will spoil part of the story. The last thing I want to do is spoil the story!
  • Enemies to Lovers
  • Hate to Love
  • Grumpy/Sunshine
  • Workplace

It should come as no surprise that I really enjoyed Hawk. I could not put it down, and was fully immersed in the story. That has been the case with Cash and Jett as well. There is just something about the storylines, the characters, and the setting that draws me in. The bit of suspense also helps. Then there's that steam factor, and oofta it gets hot. (I'm not complaining either.)

When it comes to Hawk, the book not the character, I really only have one complaint. It's also why I rated this book 4 stars instead of 5. So what is my complaint? The fact that one of the storylines was left open. There was no on page resolution. I mean yes there was that one revelation that kind of closed it, but not really. You see there was a third party involved, who was Jas's cousin. What happened to him? It's like once that revelation was made, he just disappeared. HOW DID THAT HE REACT TO THE NEWS? Did that just eliminate everything that was happening? Mackenzy I have questions! Yes there was a happy ending for our couple. Yes they are in love. Yes they have created a little family. Yes the club was by Jasmyne's side when she needed them the most. BUT WHAT ABOUT HER COUSIN?!? WHAT WAS THE MOTIVATION? WHY WAS HE FIGHTING IT? UGH!!!

If you are a fan of MC romances, and you haven't checked out Mackenzy Fox yet, you need to remedy that immediately. I've only read their NOLA Rebels series, but you had better believe I am going back to read the Bracken Ridge Rebels MC series! It looks like Mackenzy also has some other books in her backlist, so I'll need to look into those as well. (I spy sports romance and mafia romance!)

I am positive that the NOLA Rebels will draw you in, have you swooning, and leave you wanting the next story immediately. Okay that's my experience, but I'm sure yours will be similar. Oh, and if you find yourself curious about Harlem...his story is coming in January 2024!
