That moment when your best friend asks you for the biggest favor of her life

Natasha Madison is back with the seventh book in the Southern Wedding series! This series started as a spin off from the Southern series, and I cannot lie, I have adored each book that has been released so far. I always fall for the main characters, and look forward to seeing what happens in their lives. When the stories end, I am always a bit sad because it's leaving this cast of characters behind. That being said when I start a new book in the series I'm always excited to see which of our former main characters will make appearances. I love catching up with them all.

Mine to Honor is the story between Eva and Levi. These two are best friends, and there has never been a romantic spark. They know EVERYTHING about each other - the good, the bad, and the ugly. They are by each other's side for the highest of highs, the lowest of lows, and everything in between. Which is exactly what you'd expect from your best friend. So do you go along with the favor your friend is asking of you? It's huge, and is going to change your life, as well as your friendship.

Let's talk about the tropes that are featured in this book. I know you're curious. According to Natasha Madison, Mine to Honor is a small town, best friends to lovers, fake marriage, and forced proximity romance. Personally I LOVE small town romances just about as much as I love NM's books.

Mine to Honor was a quick, easy read. It had a good storyline, enjoyable characters, and had steamy moments as well. For me it was a 4 star read. I didn't click with this couple as much as I have with previous couples, and I also didn't know these two. With the previous books the heroine was familiar. Eva may have made an appearance in Mine to Promise, but I don't remember her. She's apparently Stefano's cousin, but again I got nothing. So I was missing that familiarity - that bond. For me this felt more like a first book in a series than the seventh. If that makes sense. It does in my head. Now don't take that to mean that I didn't enjoy the book, because I did. Remember I gave it 4 stars. That being said it wasn't my favorite of the series. I feel horrible saying that.

What did I enjoy? Obviously watching Levi and Eva fall. These two were so adamant that nothing would happen, so witnessing things happen made me smile. I also liked how it seemed as though Levi was more invested in their future than Eva. Or maybe she was just a bit slower on the realization. I loved the wedding, and how that all played out. Of course the wedding crew made their appearance, and it just gave me the warm fuzzies since I adore those characters. I also appreciated the set up for Mine to Keep. I was wondering why that male character was making numerous appearances, why he was being talked about, and then at the end it all made sense.

Should you read the book? Absolutely. Especially if you enjoy small town romances between best friends. You should also read it if you enjoy the marriage of convenience trope (or fake relationship). I always recommend Natasha's books. I've read almost all of them, and have a list of the ones I have yet to read.

Do you think you'll read Mine to Honor when it releases on November 3, 2023? Consider adding it to your Goodreads TBR and/or your BookBub wishlist.
